Ingredients
- 300g mashed ripe bananas (about 3 large)
- 120g vegetable oil (1/2 cup)
- 80g warm milk (1/3 cup)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract (1 tsp, optional)
- 125g all-purpose flour (1 cup)
- 50g unsweetened cocoa powder (1/2 cup)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 130g chocolate chips (3/4 cup)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F. Line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment.
- In a bowl, mash your bananas then mix in the sugars. Whisk in the eggs then add the rest of the wet ingredienst ; oil and milk. Whisk well.
- Then add the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold just until no dry pockets remain.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour into pan, smooth the top, and sprinkle extra chips if your heart says yes.
- Bake 55-65 minutes, until a skewer comes out clean
- Cool 15 minutes in pan, then lift out and cool fully before slicing.

Tip: Weigh the flour if you can — a heavy cup is the number one cause of dry bakes.
