Instructions

  1. The upside down meets christmas baking with these gooey red velvet oreo cinnamon rolls!
  2. Combine warm milk, sugar, & yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add egg, egg yolk, melted butter, vinegar, vanilla, & red food coloring, mix.
  4. Stir in salt, cocoa powder, & flour.
  5. Mix until a dough forms.
  6. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Place in greased bowl, cover, & let rise for 1-1 1/2 hours or until doubled.
  8. For the filling, mix the soft butter, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, & crushed oreos until fully combined and spreadable.
  9. Roll the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  10. Spread the filling evenly & scatter chopped oreos all over it.
  11. I like to use a pizza cutter to first slice 12 pieces then roll them each up tightly. (Or you can tightly roll the whole thing then slice)
  12. Place in greased 9x13 pan.
  13. Cover & let rise for about 45 more minutes.
  14. Pour warm heavy cream over the rolls right before baking.
  15. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 22-28 min.
  16. To make the icing, beat cream cheese & butter together until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar & vanilla.
  17. Let the rolls cool slightly then add a dollop of icing on top of each. Add store-bought black icing to a piping bag and draw the vines. Lightly sprinkle with crushed oreos (preferably the red ones)
