Ingredients
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cups ice-cold water
- 1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 box vanilla wafers (Nilla Wafers are traditional)
- 4–5 ripe bananas, sliced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and cold water until smooth.
- Add the instant pudding mix and whisk for about 2 minutes until thickened slightly.
- Cover and refrigerate for 3–4 hours (or overnight) so the pudding fully sets.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks.Gently fold the whipped cream into the chilled pudding mixture until combined.
- In a trifle bowl, a 9x13 dish, or glass cups, layer vanilla pudding mix, wafers, sliced bananas, and then another layer of pudding mixture.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top. Garnish with more wafers on top.
- Chill at least 4 hours before serving for the best texture.
Tip: Leftovers keep 3 days in the fridge and reheat best in a skillet, not the microwave.
