Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups ice-cold water
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 box vanilla wafers (Nilla Wafers are traditional)
  • 4–5 ripe bananas, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and cold water until smooth.
  2. Add the instant pudding mix and whisk for about 2 minutes until thickened slightly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 3–4 hours (or overnight) so the pudding fully sets.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks.Gently fold the whipped cream into the chilled pudding mixture until combined.
  5. In a trifle bowl, a 9x13 dish, or glass cups, layer vanilla pudding mix, wafers, sliced bananas, and then another layer of pudding mixture.
  6. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top. Garnish with more wafers on top.
  7. Chill at least 4 hours before serving for the best texture.
Tip: Leftovers keep 3 days in the fridge and reheat best in a skillet, not the microwave.
