Ingredients
- Combine the dry ingredients together and add to a large goodie bag. (for the how to make the mix)
- 1 cup (130g) all-purpose flour (for the how to make the mix)
- 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder (for the how to make the mix)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda (for the how to make the mix)
- 1/4 tsp salt (for the how to make the mix)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for the how to make the mix)
- 1/2 cup christmas m&ms (for the how to make the mix)
- Add 3/4 cup (150g) packed light brown sugar and 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar to a smaller separate bag. (for the how to make the mix)
- Add 1/4 cup of more christmas m&ms to a 3rd small bag. (this is for topping the cookies) (for the how to make the mix)
- Just make sure to keep the dry mix, sugars, and additional m&ms separate from each other. (for the how to make the mix)
- Double Chocolate M&M Christmas Cookies (for the what i put on the label)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temp (salted butter)
- 1 egg, room temp
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- This homemade mix is the perfect, budget-friendly christmas gift for any baking lover!!
- Cream butter with sugar mix (packet) together for about 2 minutes. Mix in the egg and vanilla.
- Fold in the rest of the mix until just combined. Chill dough for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop 2 Tbsp of dough per cookie and top with a few extra Christmas m&ms (packet). Place on the baking sheet with ample space between each cookie. Bake for 9-11 min until edges are set and centers are still slightly soft. Let cool before transferring to a cooling rack/plate.
