Ingredients
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
- 3 tbsp (45ml) neutral oil, (e.g avocado oil, canola oil )
- 1 cup (200g) light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup (67g) granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, room temp
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup m&ms
- 1/4 cup sprinkles
- 1/4 cup teddybear graham crackers
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare an 8*8 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla bean paste and mix until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to ensure they are thoroughly combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, M&M’s, sprinkles, and crushed graham crackers.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).
- Let the bars cool in the pan for 1 hour. Then lift out using the parchment overhang and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Cut into squares and enjoy your holiday cookie bars!
Tip: Taste the sauce before assembling and adjust the salt then, not after.
