Ingredients
- 110 g melted butter (1/2 cup)
- 100 g granulated white sugar (1/2 cup)
- 65 g light brown sugar (1/3 cup)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 150 g all-purpose flour (11/4 cups)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 100g dark chocolate chips (1/2 cup)
- 50g milk chocolate chips (1/4 cup)
Instructions
- Whisk melted butter and sugars until it looks like wet sand.
- Sift in flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold until almost combined, then fold in chocolate.
- Scoop dough (9–11pcs) and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll dough balls and place on lined tray, 2 inches apart.
- Bake 9–12 mins until edges are set (underbake for chewy cookies).
- Cool on tray 5–10 mins, then transfer to rack to cool completely
Tip: Chilling the dough deepens the flavour and stops the spread — worth the wait.
