How to Reheat pizza so it's crispy — the 3-Step Fix
Small problem, real delay — and a fix measured in minutes. Here is the fastest reliable way to reheat pizza so it's crispy.
The fast method
- Cold nonstick skillet, slice in, medium-low, lid on for the last minute: crisp base, melted top, 5 minutes.
- Air fryer: 350°F, 3–4 minutes.
- The microwave-only move if you must: put a mug of water in with it — steam keeps the crust from turning to leather.
Why it works
The skillet re-crisps the bottom by direct contact while trapped heat revives the cheese — the closest thing to fresh-from-the-oven.
Worth knowing
Microwaved pizza hardens as it cools because the melted crust starches reset; eat it fast or use the skillet.
