Instructions

  1. In a bowl, add the chicken, and season it with salt, pepper, smoked paprika powder, garlic powder, and red chili powder.
  2. Squeeze in the lemon juice, add the grated garlic, add the tomato paste.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil, and mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Let the chicken marinate for 2 to 3 hours. In a pan, add oil and cook the marinated chicken in batches for 7 to 8 minutes, or until it’s cooked through. Repeat the process with the remaining chicken and set it aside.
  5. Make sumac onions: In a bowl, combine the sliced onion, lemon juice, sumac, parsley, and salt. Mix well and let rest for 10–15 min.
  6. Make the sauce: In a bowl, combine mayonnaise and sour cream. Add in the lemon juice and freshly grated garlic. Season with salt, pepper, paprika powder, and garlic powder. Mix until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the bread rolls on a baking sheet and add the mozzarella cheese. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread rolls are crispy.
  8. Assemble the sandwich by adding lettuce, chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, sumac onions, and cabbage. Then, add the sauce and close the sandwich. Serve it with French fries and enjoy!
Tip: Prep every component first; once the heat is on, this moves quickly.
