Ingredients

  • For the chicken — 2 lb boneless chicken breast and thighs mix

  • 1 tsp italian seasoning — 1/2 tsp MSG ( Optional )
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning — 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning — 1 tbsp oil + more for cooking
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning — 5-6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning — 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese
  • For the vegetables — 1 onion, diced
  • For the vegetables — 1 bell pepper, diced
  • For the vegetables — 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • For the vegetables — Oil for stir frying
  • For the vegetables — Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the garlic sauce — 1 cup mayonnaise
  • For the garlic sauce — Salt to taste
  • For the garlic sauce — 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • For the garlic sauce — 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • For the garlic sauce — 2 cloves freshly grated garlic

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and oil for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Heat a little oil in a skillet and sauté the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms until softened and lightly caramelized.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked. Add the vegetables back in, top with provolone cheese, and mozzarella cheese. cover, and let it melt. Stir everything together until well combined.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread the garlic sauce over each tortilla, add the cheesy chicken filling, and roll tightly. Toast the wraps in a skillet over medium heat until golden and crispy on both sides. Slice in half and enjoy!
Tip: Let the meat rest a few minutes before slicing; it keeps the juices where they belong.
